As many know, this country is terribly out of control in every way. One major group that has been making headlines is the Black Lives Matter movement. This group of people have been pushed back and the American population has attempted to silence this movement by starting the All Lives Matter movement, but there is one major issue with this. All Lives Matter is hard to argue with, but it is the social way of repressing Black Lives Matter and that is simply not for the sake of all lives, but rather to silence a group who needs to be heard.
As you may not realize yet (unless you looked at my writers profile already), I am a white male America and I stand with Black Lives Matter because it is about d*mn time someone said it.
Lets start from the beginning of it all, the change in pigmentation with a country. Yes, that's right. Do you know where the AFRICAN American race came from? That's right, Africa. Now, although most of us have not been to Africa, we know how incredibly hot it is there. Due to the climate, a new race of human began with the change in skin in order for the body to protect itself from the harmful rays of the every day sun. This is the main reason as to the African race, but yet the African race has had to deal with hatefulness, slavery and straight up immoral ways of treatment.
Now, this about this. Think really hard and realize how absolutely absurd this is. Let's take an example, for instance say we have blue crayons and a red crayons. The blue crayons decide, one day, that the red crayons are no longer crayons because they're not blue, so the blue crayons take only some of the red crayons and go to another place. Well now the red crayons are out numbered by the blue crayons and now have no choice, but to accept what the blue crayons think. Through time, the red crayons start to realize they are actually crayons and not this creature they were made out to be. So they start to fight for their rights such as using the same sharpener and getting to be in the same crayon box, I mean after all they are crayons so what's the difference, right? The red crayons eventually develop something called the Red Crayon movement. So now the blue crayons are upset because they don't get to be the main, sometimes only, voice to speak on behalf of all crayons of all colors. So now the blue crayons believe they are entitled to a Blue Crayon movement and well, I think you get the point, this is just stupid. I mean they are both crayons so what is the problem, right?
You may disagree and well, that's kind of OK.
Now, let's talk about more recent events in a more literal form. Police brutality is not a joke, it is not uncommon and it is not taken seriously enough in American society. At some point within our development as a country, some police decided that they are above the law. I'm not talking about just what I have seen and heard on recent and pass stories on the media, but even right by my apartment I watch police break the law almost daily. For instance, today I watched not one, but two cops sitting at a red light, turn their lights on, go through the light and then proceed to turn them off. For those who do not know, running a red light as a citizen can result in some serious fines, but yet they ones who are suppose to be enforcing this law, break it themselves. This is not a "do what you're told, not what I do" type of situation like when we were growing up, this is a situation which we all need to follow the laws. To quote a cop that had stopped me when I was 16, "The laws are there to keep you, me and everyone around us safe. That's why you must follow the rules."
With that said, I want to take a moment and thank all the officers who truly live the law, in and out of uniform. Thank you for doing what's morally and legally right. Thank you for staying in a field that you have to deal with a lot of hate, even though you have done nothing wrong. Just know that I personally, appreciate you and please continue to be one of the good guys.
To the cops who either, break the law or stand by as other cops break the law and say nothing: You took an oath, to serve and protect citizens and incase you forgot, the color of your skin, your sexuality, disabilities, or anything else does not decide if you're a citizen. You also have no right to bring shame on the police forces of America and it's because of you that those police officers in Dallas took fire and lost their lives. You pushed and took advantage and now others are paying for your actions. I'm ashamed of you and lack respect for you.
Although I have much more to say, I will leave my words here.
Respect all, love all and most importantly remember: you're not more important because of you skin color, wealth, gender or anything else that is the stereotypical American.
