Bitterness binds

Loyal hearts love hard but also get cut even deeper. Recently I went through what felt like intentional betrayal from someone that I thought hung the moon. I'm not perfect by no means, but I do love the Lord, and He has a plan for my life. The devil also has a strategy against christians, the number one strategy if he can't keep us in willful disobedience is to keep us bitter and offended by using those we love the most to shatter us at our core, because that my friends is how we are robbed of our spiritual authority. An offended christian is a powerless christian. Jesus taught us this when He was being humiliated, mocked, spit upon, betrayed, and murdered. He said "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." Who am I to be offended? If Jesus was that humble, and he lived a sinless life, my pride has no right to keep screaming for what it deserves! Yet I battle my flesh daily, then I see His body as a sacrifice for me on the cross and I'm so ashamed, I know i'm unworthy, and undeserving of His mercy and grace. I've turned my back on Him before, when we need Him and He rescues us we're just soooo in awe of Him, the world comes along and before I know it I'm missing church for this reason or that. Rev. 2:4-5 speaks of this he has against the Chuch of Ephesus, "You have left your first love, remember from where you have fallen, repent, and do the first works." I 'm not a discerner of hearts, He is, but I do know Jesus loves this guy, that's His son, like im His daughter, and if Jesus could forgive my betrayal, who am I to not forgive. No student is above His master. He is a God of justice and He counts my tears, sin does not go unpunished, but I take my hands out it so He can do what only He alone can do. Micah 7:7-8 says :Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Rejoice not against me, O my enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit n darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me. I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until He plead my cause and execute judgement for me: He will bring me forth to the Light, and I shall behold His Righteousness. Then she that is my enemy shall see it and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord your God? my eyes shall befold her; now she shall be trodden down as the mire of the streets." God will humble the proud, and lift up the broken. Giving the battle to the Lord is the only way I fight my battles anymore, because My God in all His wisdom will bring a man to his knees, and at the same time turn that heart of stone to putty in HIs hands. When God exposes the ugliness of our deceitful hearts to us, yet correcting us as to make us Sons and daughters, there's no greater love. Agape love, so let's encourage each other, the harvest is huge, and the time is now, I'm going after God with all of who I am, and those that were used to hinder me in ministry to lost souls for the Lord, I believe they will minister to the hurting hearts beside me one day, we serve an awesome, wise, loving God. He gave me a warrior heart like David, and that has to be why I'm set apart, it defintiley wasn't cause I lived a sinless life. God revealed to me that the greatest lovers, that love hard and genuinely, make His greatest warriors cause it gives us a cause to fight for and to fight from. In this season, Heaven's War Angels fight for us! They are sent out according to words of our mouth.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
