Netflix is by far the most popular movie and television show streaming network in the world. According to Netflix they serve over 83 million members in over 190 countries. Can one even imagine a world without its presence? I would guess that I have approximately spent 50 thousand minutes of my life in the last 5 years binge watching television series available on Netflix. That is approximately 833 hours, on JUST television series that doesn’t even include that many, many movies that I have watched on there as well. So, what are some of the television series that I have been guilty of watching on Netflix you way wonder? I am super big on crime/ mystery shows, medical shows, and drama. My all-time fav is anything ShondaLand which is almost guaranteed to be on Netflix!
My personal top 20 favorite series:
1. Grey’s Anatomy (ShondaLand)
You have been in the dark if you have never heard of, watched, or fan- girl'd over this one. If you haven't; push one of epi. A drama about a group of surgeons; it's (always) a beautiful day to save lives.
2. Scandal (ShondaLand)
Maybe you're into politics? Or the idea of scandalous things going on behind the doors of the White House; this is where it's at.
3. How to Get Away with Murder (ShondaLand)
Crooked lawyers and law students.
4. Pretty Little Liars
If you like suspense this is for you. Find out who "A" is for yourself.
5. One Tree Hill
Romance on romance on romance. Follow a group of lifelong highschool friends thorugh life.
6. Dexter
Forensic Analysis by day. A serial killer, who kills serial killers by night. If you like twisted, I truly recommend this one.
7. House
A comical, witty, medical television series.
8. Orange Is the New Black (Netflix Original Series)
I can't stress enough how much it sucks to wait a year for every season! Follow the story of the woman of Litchfield Penitentiary.
9. Between (Netflix Original Series)
Completely under rated. A bunch of kids get quarantined and everyone over the age of 21 drops dead.
10. The 100
Can you imagine never stepping foot on Earth and then getting to? That's what these characters experince as they have lived in space their entire lives.
11. Once Upon a Time
If you are a Disney lover, I totally recommend!
12. Psych
Very, very comical. A man poses as a "psychic." Enough said.
13. Ghost Whisperer
Who doesn't like to watch someone who talks to the dead?
14. Freaks & Geeks
Although this isn't actually a series it follows a bunch of stoners in high school. Oh and James Franco is in it, so there is that.
15. Criminal Minds
A team of FBI profilers fighting to take down the criminals.
16. CSI Miami
Horatio and his team seek to find the culperates of homicides.
17. Breaking Bad
A high school chemistry diagnosed with cancer begins making cystal meth and selling it to pay for his medical bills.
18. Top of the Lake
Also not a series, but totally binge worthy. About a young girl in New Zealand who is found to be pregnant.
19. The Secret Life of the American Teenager
A teenager gets pregnant at band camp. What happens at band camp...
20. My Name is Earl
Earl wins the lottery and goes on a spree to make up all the bad things he has done in his life. He is super scared of karma.
Often I see posts on social media asking people for their opinion on the best series to watch on Netflix and everyone will put in their two cents. Here are some of the shows that I have consistently seen on social media that I have yet to binge, but hope to in the future.
