Bill Cunningham is a man who relied on his lens. Besides that he was a man with a perspective. He saw fashion, runways and the streets through an extraordinary lens.
All of those Pinterest photos of street style, were inspired or taken by Cunningham. In a pursuit of fashion, he expresses his interest in the clothes. In an interview with Time magazine in 2011 he said, "I'm not interested in celebrities with their free dresses. I'm interested in the clothes."
On his Schwinn bike, he zipped around the streets of New York from one gala to the next.
On June 26 2016 the world woke up to the articles and the tributes to Cunningham. The Paris runway was empty without the 89 year old.
The world lost a journalist, a documenter, colleague, and friend. And he will never be replaced.
