Everything I should've said but couldn't find the words

To My Sister On Her Wedding Day

To my sister and her husband on their wedding day:

You are married! My sister, my big sister, is a married woman. I can't think of another man who you are better suited for. He is funny and adventurous and he has changed you in so many ways. This is a good thing. He opened you up to new experiences and broadened your view of the world. He got you to ride a motorcycle! (I will never get over that!) I can't wait to see all the way you two will grow each other.

Your ceremony was gorgeous! I can't believe you fit perfectly into mom's wedding dress and I personally believe that that was a sign in itself. I think mom would love her new son-in-law. And I know she would be so proud of the marvelous woman you've become. I think the fact that the dress didn't have to be altered was her giving her blessing.

And I know you didn't ask for it, but you have my blessing a thousand times over. Our relationship hasn't been easy. I did have my doubts at first and I was a little angry that you had changed so much without me. But I see now, that maybe you didn't change as much as I thought you did. I think you just found yourself. Your new husband was a big help in you finding yourself. I'm sorry for all the bad blood that was between us. It's in the past now, and I will never bring it up again. I love you both and I wouldn't pick anyone else for you.

On that note, I am always here for you. For both of you (and any future kids you two decide to have). You are more than just my family. You are the aunt and uncle to my daughter, two of my best friends, and most definitely "relationship goals". You are my big sister and my new brother and I couldn't love you two more if I tried. You're always in my thoughts and forever in my prayers. Anything either of you need, just call me and I will find a way to help you achieve it.

I hope you have lots of kids. I hope you travel first and explore the world. I hope you have a ton of adventures and enjoy your motorcycles first. Then when you're ready, I hope you have lots of kids. I hope you never forget this feeling; the feeling of your wedding day. I hope that even when you fight, you two are patient and don't ever say anything you don't mean. I pray for many happy years and I look forward to holidays and vacations with you two. And in case I forgot to say it; to my new brother, welcome to the family!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
