I could start with the sappy quotes or tell the story of how we met, but I think that we are more than that. See, you are the peanut butter to my jelly. The Cristina to my Meredith. The Monica to my Rachel. The sun to my shine. I never thought that I would have someone in my life who made everything better and who promised to be by my side, even if she didn’t have all of the answers. I never have to wonder who is going to hold my hand and remind me that I matter because you do it every day. Everyone has there own big and little bond, but ours is different. You are not only my big, but my absolute best friend. I respect you as my big, but idolize you as my best friend. A big is someone that is a role model. Someone who strives for success in life in the most honorable, beautiful and highest way. Not once have you ever let me down.

Girls join an organization for many different reasons. I thought mine was to be a leader and help my community. Little did I know that I was going to meet a bridesmaid at my wedding. The happy to my sad. The mac to my cheese. The Netflix to Chinese food.
There are so many times that I want to thank you for sticking by my side. For reminding me that I can accomplish anything because I am strong. For showing me what's real and point out the fake. For holding me while I cry and laughing at me when I’m silly. For bringing me flowers to work when I'm upset. For surprising me in Chicago because you couldn’t go a week without me. For bringing out the fun in me, even if it is a little much. For going on crazy adventures with me. For making me food. For everything.
We all have hard days, but I am blessed to have you right by my side. I never feel alone or unwanted because I have you to call and your house key to come over when I’m bored. You’re family is as beautiful as you are and have welcomed me with open arms. You're friends have become my friends. We are kind of a package deal.
I think that is the importance of a big. Having someone that wants to involve you in their life. You have made me feel nothing but welcome in your crazy, beautiful life.
I never take the time to tell you this because one, I’m terrible with emotions, and two, you would probably cry which is awkward for both of us. So here you are, big. Here is my thank you, my enormous hug and my words that are nothing but the truth. I will always adore you and our friendship. May our years be filled with laughter, love and wine.
