Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
As a college student, the word "future" is brought up almost everyday. Everything we do and the classes we take are all in planning for our lives after graduation, but if you're like me, you might still not really know exactly what your future is going to hold. This verse is a reminds us that, no matter what, God has a plan for everyone.
Phillipians 4:13
“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”
When you get overwhelmed with classes, work, or college life in general, know that you are not alone, and God is always your supporter.
Romans 12:12
“Be joyful in hope, patient in tribulation, faithful in prayer.”
In life there will always be goods and bads, ups and downs. Celebrate and enjoy the good times. When you're stressed out, remember that it will pass, and you can always turn to God for help.
1 Timothy 4:12
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
Being young doesn't mean you can't make a difference. College is the perfect time to show others your faith, just by the example of how act in your daily life.
Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
It's easy to just give in and go with the crowd. You don't have to act like everyone else or do what everyone else is doing. Remember that even though you're in college and in a new stage of your life, you can stay true to your own values.
Psalm 46:5
“God is within her, she will not fall. He will help her at the break of day.”
With God on your side, you are unstoppable. Never forget that.
