Senior year is finally here and I couldn't be more excited. Graduation is approaching fast and the future still seems blurry. I always thought that by now I'd be a bit more prepared for post-grad life, but I'm not. I don't know that anyone is completely confident in what they're going to happen after they cross that stage, but God is. God has known your life since before you were ever born. So if you ever doubt that you have a purpose or a plan, remember that God's got it all in His hands.

1. Isaiah 26:3-4

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal."

2. Jude 1:21

"Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life."

3. Psalm 27:14

"Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD."

4. 1 Timothy 4:12

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

5. John 14:27

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Micah 6:8

"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

7. Proverbs 16:3

"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."

8. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

9. Ephesians 2:10

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

10. James 4:13-16

"Now listen, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.' Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, 'If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.' As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil."

When senior year feels like it will never end and the future seems uncertain, look to the Lord. He created us to fulfill His will and will always give us the strength we need to uphold the things He calls us to. Take a deep breath and pray that God gives you the courage to trust Him in these times where it seems easier to trust yourself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
