VSCO is one of those apps that came out of nowhere and was able to make its way into the tight-knit group of social media outlets that are commonly used.
However, this isn't your normal social media platform. While there are "likes" like Instagram and "reposts" like Twitter, VSCO is unique in the fact that its users seem to be mainly girls and no one really cares if you spam your followers feed with pictures. In fact, this is almost encouraged.
Doing this on Instagram would cause some annoyance but on VSCO, it does not matter. People don't worry about likes or followers, but instead, post the photos that they love and hold on to that they may not feel the need to post on other media. While personal photos are predominant on VSCO, so are quotes.
