The world has been crazy. The world has been insane. This world is entirely different than what you and I are used to seeing. I just want you to know that if I don't already tell you enough, you are without a doubt the best boss that I have ever had.
I am going to admit that when I first started working for you, I was an absolute mess. I was intimidated and scared because somebody who believed in me has so much knowledge built up. I found myself asking “How does he do that?" or “How did he manage that?" instantly, where as I myself was just beginning this journey into our profession.
I wanted to thank you for teaching and continuing to teach me things that will ultimately make me better. Thank you for being there, lending a helping hand when I feel like my head is going to explode. Thank you for believing in me during the times in which I don't or didn't believe in myself. Thank you for being a consistent motivator no matter what mood you may be in.
There is another thing, too. Thank you for being hard on me. Thank you for putting my objections and moods second when I needed it. The truth is, it's made me a better leader and a better person, and that's something that I chase after.
We all have faults, and the first time I made a mistake was the first time I felt alone in the situation, and that there was no fixing what I had done...then I looked over, and you were right there to help me correct it. You never scolded me for it, but rather taught me how to never make that mistake in the future. You provided a solution as you often do, and that was really admirable.
Lastly, thank you for making this work environment enjoyable for me to go to, and thank you for being you. You don't realize how many times I've wanted to give up. I know sometimes it doesn't seem like it, but I'm grateful that I have such an amazing leader to look up to and a leadership style to apply while in this journey. Thank you a thousand times for not being moody with me when I call you with what seems to be 50 times a day, especially those times where I could have just figured it out myself. I look forward to investing more time into growing as a better leader and knowing that you'll be right there to support the whole process.
Kindest and upmost regard,
Shelbs
