2017 is coming to an end and as I reflect on my fashion choices, I had to pick our some of my favorites of the year. Some trends need to go, but there's also a good amount that are here to stay for many more years to come.

1. Embellishment

Without being too tacky, I love adding a bit of embellishment to my outfit. It makes you stand out and adds some pop to your outfit.

2. Faux Fur

I absolutely love faux fur. Whether it's on sandals, jackets, or sweaters, it's a classic look that I know I will be wearing for years and years.

3. Floral

I'll admit that I used to not be such a big fan of florals. Depending on the colors and design, floral can sometimes look too grandma to me. As I got older, I started to appreciate florals and I realized that this is a trend that diversifies your wardrobe.

4. Sock Booties

I own two pairs of sock booties and I always get excited when I pull them out of my closet. They're a funky pair of shoes that you can't go wrong with purchasing. They stand out and I promise you'll get compliments from everyone when you strut down the streets.

5. Velvet

Velvet is chic, soft as butter and trendy. Make sure at least one piece of clothing or item in your closet is velvet. You won't regret it.
