The Jeremy Kyle Show

Best Tabloid Talk Show

A guilty pleasure of mine is watching "tabloid talk shows" here and there. However, there are only a few shows I enjoy. We all know about The Jerry Springer show and how awful it is. That is my least favorite show, it does not entertain me on any level. The badly scripted arguments and fights; the ridiculous editing. Of course, that's its intention to create this outlandish, far fetched show. But, it comes off as more obnoxious rather than enjoyable. That's why my favorite "tabloid talk show" is The Jeremy Kyle show. Firstly, the show is slightly more believable: over the top editing is nonexistent, and there isn't a brawl on each episode. Also, the stories are much more interesting and engaging. Jeremy Kyle, the host, is much more enjoyable in an odd way. I'm usually in cahoots with him regarding how he approaches situations, but sometimes I'm not. I know these types of shows are know as trash tv, but it's some good trash. Overall it is much better than The Jerry Springer show.

I wanted to make a list of some of my favorite clips from The Jeremy Kyle show:

1. IRISH WOMAN PUT A VOODOO CURSE ON HER SON-IN-LAW

Watch all of the parts to this beautiful mess of a story.

2.MAN PREFERS BREAKFAST CEREAL TO HIS GIRLFRIEND

Yes this man has an addiction to cereal. His girlfriend thought it would be a good idea to go on the Jeremy Kyle show to make him choose between her or his sugary love.

3. BETTY THE WARRIOR GRANNY COMPILATION

This one is a bit different since it's a compilation, but it is incredibly entertaining to watch granny Betty lay down the law by threatening to fight someone with her cane.

4. JEREMY SETS A TRAP FOR A CHEATING GUEST

I'm still not over this story. Mainly because of the man they exposed for being a cheater. I would explain more but it is best for you to watch it yourself.

5.'LOVE GOD' BRAGS ABOUT HIS SEX LIFE

I'm sure you can see as to why this made the list.

Is what he claims true; that he can pull women left and right? Of course it is he is the love god! The almighty love god is one to praise...actually on second thought maybe not.

6. ANGRY GUEST TRIES TO THROW CHRISTMAS DECORATION AT CHEATING WOMAN

A man messes with Jeremy's Christmas decorations to attack a cheater.

7. FURIOUS MAN DESTROYS JEREMY'S CHRISTMAS TREE

Once again poor Jeremy, why is that everyone is trying to ruin his Christmas spirit?

8. SCARIEST MOTHERS EVER COMPILATION

Another compilation, but I put it on here because some of the mother's are truly terrifying.

9. MAN THINKS HE'S LIAM GALLAGHER

"Liam Gallagher" has never looked any better than he does here.

10. MURRAY THE LADIES MAN

Look out everyone another love god. With his unique hair and stylish dressing he'll surely sweep you off your feet.

My favorite part is when Jeremy calls him a "chauvinist pig". Another reason why I love Jeremy.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
