I don't know about you, but comedy is my thing. Laughing, tearing and slapping my knee is my thing. Being happy is my thing. Netflix is my thing. Combine all these things together and you should arrive at a destination where you're watching a funny comedy special on Netflix. That, however, is not always the case.

Truly, Netflix is home to so many options for comedy, but only a certain few are actually pretty funny. To help wind down your search, here is one such list of the 10 best Netflix comedy specials to watch this summer when you're not in the mood to go outside and get that Vitamin D:

1. "John Mulaney: New In Town"

Find out what John was told one night in New York City or maybe hear about his youthful partying day or maybe even discover the story of a man who went to the doctor wanting one thing and left with a wholly different type of experience.

2. "John Mulaney: Comeback Kid"

His second special is all the more funny. Cows, Happy Birthday signs, real estate agents — what didn't he cover?

3. "Ali Wong: Baby Cobra"

The special that put her on the map, "Baby Cobra" is all about Ms. Wong's secret-spilling of past relationships that had her sleeping with homeless men as well as her dream to be a stay-at-home-mom.

4. "Ali Wong: Hard Knock Wife"

Incidentally, her second comedy routine had Ms. Wong sharing that being a stay-at-home-mom is not all it's cracked up to be.

5. "Amy Schumer: The Leather Special"

Yes, I know. Amy Schumer. Not everyone is her biggest fan, but some of these punchlines are just fantastic. Especially hearing about the one word you never want to be called when posting a nude, that joke gets me every time.

6. "Anjelah Johnson: The Homecoming Show"

Anjelah Johnson doesn't curse or use insults for jokes in her comedy routine. She shares stories from her past and describes her experiences with such wit and authentic syntax that you can't help but let out a good laugh almost with every one of her facial expressions.

7. "Kevin Hart: I'm a Grown Little Man"

Kevin Hart wasn't always the big name he is today. This special is one of his older ones, but he truly owns the stage, sharing the stories of his kids, his time in the hood and... his encounter with an ostrich.

8. "Trevor Noah: You Laugh But It's True"

A unique comedy special, Trevor Noah shares his past of growing up in Apartheid South Africa. In watching, you will see that you will act just like the title says, "You laugh but it's true."

9. "Trevor Noah: Afraid of the Dark"

Giphy

Yes, now that you've seen this comedic genius once, see him again! Find out what secret he uses to not being afraid of the dark or his take on different accents. Either work.

10. "Hari Kondabolu: Warn Your Relatives"

Not very well known and new to Netflix, Mr. Kondabolu helps audiences laugh and smile through a special on politics, cultural interaction, and empathy. With a sharp wit, Hari Kondabolu will definitely have you laughing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
