2014 was another great year in music, and brought us an ample amount of hit songs. Here's a selection of my favorites from this year:
Drake: 0 to 100 / The Catch Up
Drake's first single from his upcoming album is fire and it's hard to not bump along to the beat.
Drake: Trophies
Another sick song from Drake.
Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars: Uptown Funk!
This song features a smart style reminiscent of 70s/80s disco, you can't help but sing and dance along to the beat.
Taylor Swift: Blank Space
Taylor Swift has quickly become every guy's guilty pleasure. As much as you hate to admit it, she came out with a great album that includes catchy songs like this.
Clean Bandit (feat. Jess Glynne): Rather Be
One of the years best songs in Dance.
Calvin Harris: Summer
Another great EDM song, perfect for the summer time (as the title suggests).
Porter Robinson: Years of War
If you haven't listened to Porter Robinson's lasted album Worlds, I highly reccomend you do. His sounds is beautiful and unique and the album includes awesome songs like this, probably my favorite from the album.
Disclosure (feat. Sam Smith): Latch
This song gained popularity this year, though it was released in 2013. It is an amazing song and with great lyrics.
Disclosure: You & Me (Flume Remix)
This is probably the best remix of the year, such an incredible beat.
Sia: Chandelier
A vocal powerhouse of a song with meaningful lyrics and a really cool music video.
Ed Sheeran: Don't
I really like how he mixes a little bit of hip hop with his signature sound. I also like how he's just says "Don't fuc* with my love."
I Love Makonnen (feat. Drake): Tuesday
A great anthem for a Tuesday night of drinking.
