Shopping is a part of everyone's life, whether they care to admit it or not. We are growing up in a society that is big on consumer consumption. We want the best new products, we want the deals, and we want them now! In the past few years, we’ve also seen a big increase in e-commerce shopping. Almost all companies have had to alter their business plans in order to reach the demands of their consumers. We want the ability to lie around the house and shop, rather than going into a store and creating a personal relationship with the sales associates or the people that surround us.
In an Instagram poll I conducted, 67% of followers said they, in fact, preferred going to a store rather than shopping online. I followed that question up with asking why they preferred one over the other and 67% said for the experience and also because shopping online can be difficult when it comes to proper sizing.
With those numbers in mind, I started thinking about how people still cherish the personal connection, whether that is with an employee, the people you shop with, or the sheer fact that fashion is something you connect with when you go into a store.
So here’s a list of five of the best places to shop that have great customer service, keep up with trends and never go out of style.
1. Nordstrom
It's no surprise that people say Nordstrom is one of their favorite stores. Their customer service is impeccable almost everytime you step into their store. Hint: They also have incredible return and exchange policies.
2. Old Navy
I know what you're thinking. Old Navy, really? But if you step foot into their store, you'll find simple styles and your perfect basic for a low cost. What could be better than that?
3. Lululemon
Athleisure is one of the biggest trends that has spread across the world and Lululemon was at the forefront. Their stores and customer service is always welcoming and their clothes are extremely comfortable too!
4. Forever 21
Forever 21 may not have impeccable service but you can't deny that they keep up with the fast fashion of today. It's relatively cheap and let's be honest, you could spend hours in just their store with all the choices to choose from!
5. Target
Whether you are a college student, middle-aged mom, or an elder, you cannot deny that shopping at Target is a form of therapy... well until you go to check out. Target has branded their company so well that you can't help but go back regardless of their sometimes unreasonale pricing.
