Fall semester is just around the corner, and we all know what that means. The studying is going to follow close behind, but studying doesn’t always have to be dreadful. When the dorm, library, or pretty much any place on campus gets absolutely awful, take a break and find a less sad place to study. Here are some of the best places to study (in my opinion) in San Antonio.
1. Starbucks on Broadway
Let’s get back to the basics on this one. The Starbucks on Broadway is a wonderful place to study because not only is the coffee good, but the people who make the coffee are great, too. There are places to study inside and out on their patio. This is a place where you can spend all day studying, and believe me, I have.
2. Local Coffee
We’re going local for this one. Local Coffee is a great place to study whether it is at the location on Broadway or at the Pearl. Local is the one of the best places to study. Not only are their specialty coffees great, but their freshly brewed coffee is off the chart. Not to mention that there are free refills on their freshly brewed coffee, and if you get hungry, they have the best homemade pop tarts and other pastries.
3. Pearl
Pearl is San Antonio’s little gem. Anytime of the year, Pearl is a fantastic place to study because it is beautiful. Whether you are studying outside or in one of the many eateries, you will never be sad that you are studying. On the weekends, there is a farmers market for when you need a study break.
4. Halcyon
For this coffee bar, let’s go a little south to Southtown. Halcyon is more than just a coffee shop; it’s also a bar for when you need to celebrate how much studying you’ve accomplished. It is open late and has indoor and outdoor study spaces. The couches are super comfy, and for a study snack, you can have animal crackers with your coffee.
5. IHOP
This one is easily a place you can hop on board to. IHOP is everyone’s favorite pancake place, but let it be your favorite study spot, too. They are open 24 hours for our convenience, and the coffee and pancakes just keep flowing. The wait staff is always nice, and sometimes they will even help you stay on track. So grab a couple of your buddies and head over to IHOP because pancakes and studying are a great combination.
Don’t let studying be dreadful. Check out these places and find your favorite. Finding the perfect place to study will help your brain and your grade. Plus, it is nice to see sunlight while studying.
