Top 5 Napping Locations On Mississippi State University's Campus

I don't know about anyone else, but I can take a nap anytime anywhere. Napping has always been a big part of my life, and since being at college it defiantly hasn't stopped. We've all been there when you can't make back home in time to rest and you also have a test in 30 mins. There are actually so many nice and quiet places to nap on campus for when you need a quick nap and can't make it back home.

1. Old Main

Old main has really nice couches and chairs that are always up for grabs, but if you don't feel like being around other people there are some pretty amazing study rooms. It's always really quiet in Old Main and if you're up for actually studying, it's a great place for that as well.

2. 3rd Floor of the Union

I've talked to some other people about this and this disagree, but I've found the 3rd floor of the union to be pretty quiet most of the time. If you're already in the union and need somewhere to nap, try and see if you can find a quiet corner.

3. Fresh Food Company

While everyone knows the Perry is better than Fresh if you need to eat lunch, the Fresh has the best couches and chairs to binge watch some Netflix and nap while you're waiting on your next class to start!

4. Library

If you can find a place where nobody is (like the basement) then you're most likely going to find somewhere to take a quick 10 min nap. I mean, the library is supposed to be quiet right?

5. The Chapel

Last, but certainly not least is The Chapel of Memories, or just the Chapel. This my absolute favorite place to get some quiet time, and by that, I mean nap. It's always so quiet in the chapel and peaceful. It's also a great place to study or just get away from all the noise.

If you ever need a quiet place or a quick cat nap, head over to some of these amazing places on campus, but please make sure that they remain a quiet place for tired college students to chill. If you see me taking a nap in any of these places, just know it's been a long day. After all, taking a nap is better than falling asleep during class right?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
