It's that time of the year again when a lot of us are antsy about our favorite TV shows coming back and the summer blockbuster movie season is ending. Whether you are a movie or television person, or maybe both, San Diego Comic-Con did not fail this year to provide trailers for both.

San Diego Comic-Con International is an annual event that brings people from all over the world to come together from different backgrounds to celebrate comic books, graphic novels, entertainment, and all things geeky (in a good way as always). In 2015, over 160,000 people were attended the four-day convention. Here are some of the highlights from this year.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them"

JK Rowling surprises us again with another addition to the magical world of Harry Potter. "Fantastic Beasts" takes us back to 1926 and contains the history of the magical creatures we have come to know and love in the Harry Potter series. The book was released in 2001 and the film is set to come out on November 18, 2016. Rowling's screenplay, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", was released Sunday which takes place 19 years after the end of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" which is the final main "Harry Potter" book and film. I am quite excited for this movie as I grew up with the "Harry Potter" series.

Wonder Woman

With DC's cinematic universe expanding, "Wonder Woman" goes into the backstory and history of the superhero. The trailer places Wonder Woman back to before the Justice League so that the fans can understand where she came from, what her life was like before Justice League, and the discovery of her own powers and destiny. I am very excited as I really enjoyed Gal Gadot's portrayal of her in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" this past March. Plus, the poster looks incredible. "Wonder Woman" is set to come out next summer.

Marvel Netflix Originals

So many things happened with Marvel this year, but hands down, the Netflix series really shined. Fans were treated to several teasers including "Luke Cage", "Iron Fist", and "The Defenders." It was also announced that "Daredevil" would return for a third season. "Luke Cage" will be released on Netflix September 30 and takes place before the events of "Jessica Jones." I absolutely loved "Daredevil," especially season two, and am finishing up "Jessica Jones" so I am thrilled to see more and if it connects with the Marvel Cinematic Universe since "Infinity War (Part 1)" is due to come out in 2018. "Iron Fist", "The Defenders", "Jessica Jones", and "Daredevil" are all set to come out in 2017.

The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead (AMC)

Both of our beloved zombie shows released trailers. "The Walking Dead" is AMC's mothership show and "Fear The Walking Dead" is the companion show. Not spin-off, but companion. Anyway, both trailers showed a lot of promise. I personally can't wait to see how "Fear" goes with the group members split apart for the first time. "The Walking Dead" introduces us with more insight into Negan and The Kingdom, the community that Morgan and Carol end up in after season 6. It's still unknown who met Lucille at the cliffhanger of season 6, but the trailer is worth seeing especially as we meet some new characters...including a tiger! "Fear" still has uncharted territory to explore, but the last two episodes really made the show shine and I hope they continue to develop in that direction. I am also almost caught up with "The Walking Dead" comic books too so I'm ahead of the game a little. There are bits and pieces I want in the show, but of course not everything. The second half of season two of "Fear" premieres August 21. "The Walking Dead" premieres October 23.

Justice League

We finally got our first taste of DC's Justice League movie set to premiere November 2017. We saw glimpses of The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg in "Batman v Superman" which hinted at the team. Each character is slated to get their own movie after the first "Justice League" film is released. There is a lot that goes on in the trailer including interactions with Batman and the others who end up joining the team in order to defeat Steppenwolf and his army. What I enjoyed was how there was some humor but also action especially with the interactions between the different characters. I especially liked the encounter between Flash and Batman. Too funny and relatable. A sequel is also set for June 2019.

Doctor Strange

While we already had one trailer, this trailer for "Doctor Strange" includes brand new footage and is more plot oriented, to me, more than the first one. "Doctor Strange" is more magic and alternate dimension oriented which is definitely unique to the Marvel universe. Benedict Cumberbatch, who stars in the movie, has also been busy with the "Sherlock" series as shown by a teaser for next year which is also worth a look. I honestly think it might be "Sherlock's" last season given the amount of work both Cumberbatch and co-star Martin Freeman are doing. I am honestly very excited to see "Doctor Strange" and I feel just as excited for it as I was for "Guardians of the Galaxy" simply because it looks like an exciting, unique superhero movie experience. Plus, the effects look amazing. "Doctor Strange" will be out in theaters November 4.

San Diego Comic Con releases many trailers and is full of stars. However, I still think it is really incredible to see how conventions bring people together to celebrate entertainment and comic books even when times are tough. As always, you can find all of the trailers online. Cheers to another year of movies, comics, and more exciting entertainment for all!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
