The Best Music Festivals For Summer 2016

Summer means a lot of different things to people, but one of the highlights of summer for music lovers is going to see their favorite bands perform together at a summer music festival. There are hundreds to choose from, but the following are some of the most anticipated for 2016 and will guarentee a summer to remember.

Vans Warped Tour

Locations: Various cities across the US

Dates: June 22- Aug. 13

Lineup: TBA. Last year's lineup included Asking Alexandria, Motion City Soundtrack, Never Shout Never, and Youth In Revolt.

Governors Ball

Location: Randall's Island Park, New York City

Dates: June 3-5

Lineup: A lot of big names this year, with the key performers being Kanye West, The Strokes, The Killers, Beck, Death Cab For Cutie, Two Door Cinema Club, Mac Miller, Against Me!, and Circa Waves.

Bonnaroo

Location: Manchester, Tennessee

Dates: June 9-12

Lineup: Announced on Conan on TBS, Bonnaroo is featuring the recently reunited band LCD Soundsystem, with other headliners including Pearl Jam, J. Cole, Macklemore, and Ellie Goulding.

Coachella

Location: Indio, California

Dates: April 15-17 and April 22-24

Lineup: LCD Soundsystem will also be at Coachella, including Guns and Roses, Ice Cube, A$AP Rocky, the 1975, Miike Snow, and Of Monsters and Men.

Firefly

Location: Dover, Delaware

Dates: June 16-19

Lineup: Another east coast festival, performers include Two Door Cinema Club, Florence and the Machine, Fetty Wap, Disclosure, Ludacris, and The Wombats.

Panorama

Location: Randall's Island Park, New York City

Dates: July 22-24

Lineup: Since this is a newly formed festival from the producers and organizers of Coachella, not much is known about the lineup, but it's rumored that it will be very similar to Coachella.
