Crumbs on the floor, hand prints on the windows and stains of different colors on the seats: a car like this can get pretty dirty inside. But is it always worth having a professional bilrens cleaning of car do the car cleaning?
At least you can do it yourself, by bilrens cleaning of car.
Do you have real leather in your car?
Noble! You should take good care of that. We recommend the Foamy leather cleaner, the Ledry leather care product and the Borty leather brush. And if the windows are dirty, you can quickly regain a clear view with the Shiny window cleaner and the included waffle cloth.
1. Preparation
If you have the utensils and cleaning products mentioned above ready, you should clean up the interior thoroughly. Collect all old parking tickets, gum packs, soda cans and candy wrappers. Dispose of garbage, whatever works.
Don't forget your trunk! The ashtrays are emptied, the shelves should also be tidied up. If there is chewing gum residue stuck somewhere, you spray it with ice spray and remove the frosted parts.
2. Clean vacuum cleaners and floor mats
Take the floor mats out of the car and pat them off. Put the mats in a dry place in the carport or in the yard. Now you carefully sweep the upholstery away with the hand brush.
You vacuum the seats, backrests and headrests with an upholstery instead of the usual brush. This will also get a good deal of dust out of the upholstery.
Then you vacuum out the foot wall. Make sure to vacuum under the seats as well. You can reach all places if you first adjust the seats in the position furthest back (and clean the foot well at the front) and then pull them forward as far as possible (and clean the foot wall at the back). Then the trunk is vacuumed. Don't forget to vacuum under the bottom cover too!
3. Car headliner
If you are already vacuuming thoroughly, you will of course also be vacuuming the headliner. Most of the time, that's enough to clean the headliner. If there are actually stains in the sky, dab them off with the damp cotton cloth.
If that's not enough, carefully dab the stain with neutral soap. Let it take effect for a short time, then remove the lather with a cotton cloth soaked in water. So that there are no water stains when drying, dab with a dry cotton cloth.
4. Fittings and cockpit
Fittings and cockpit are cleaned quickly: soak a soft, ankle-free cloth in lukewarm water, wring it out and run it over the fittings.
You don't normally need detergents, but if you need to achieve perfect cleaning and maintenance, it is highly recommended. The cockpit cover, on the other hand, can be cleaned with a neutral soap in the water.
Use a well-wrung cloth for this too. If you want a professional cleaning agent instead of the home remedy, we recommend the cleanly cockpit cleaner.
You can get the cracks between the individual parts of the cover clean by carefully running a fine brush or toothpick along them. Don't forget the sun visors in the front!
5. Steering wheel and ventilation grille
What applies to the covers and fittings, you can do the same for the steering wheel and ventilation grilles. First, wipe everything off with a well-wrung, damp cotton cloth. You can catch the dust in the ventilation grille quite well with a fine brush or a cotton swab.
You can also clean the steering wheel with a small splash of vinegar in the washing water if there are a lot of stains and worn spots on it. However, it would be advisable to use a leather cleaner such as the detailify Foamy Leather Cleaner. The Cleanly cockpit cleaner can be used with a plastic steering wheel.
6. Windows and mirrors
Mirrors and windows in the interior often suffer. They steam up, are wiped clean with sleeves or fingers, hand prints and skin oil can be seen, children lean their foreheads against the cool window. Dust and other dirt such as smoke deposits collect on it. A simple cloth and lukewarm water with a splash of vinegar are usually sufficient for indoor cleaning.
In the case of stubborn streaks and stains, you can dampen the pane with the cloth, rub the pane with a sliced onion and wipe it off. The onion juice easily dissolves stubborn dirt. If you can't make friends with this home remedy, we recommend the Shiny window cleaner. Remember to always wipe the rear window parallel to the embedded heating wires.
