In my junior year of high school, I discovered one thing that would change my life for the better: Hamilton: An American Musical. Along with its incredibly catchy raps about the founding fathers, the musical also fostered my love for history and made people like Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson seems more personable. After listening to the entire 46 song album a few times, I became obsessed. I listened to it constantly, so much that I now know all of the lyrics by heart.
While I was falling madly in love with the musical, I was starting to follow the creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, who later became huge of inspiration to me. Now, despite having written a wildly successful musical and won a countless number of awards, he is incredibly down to earth and constantly encourages his Twitter followers through the good morning and good night tweets. His Twitter posts were so beloved by his fans that it led to the creation of a book, Gmorning, Gnight!: Little Pep Talks for Me & You, which was just released on October 16th.
