Gilmore Girls has been a staple my entire life. I started watching it when I was in fifth grade and still enjoy it ten years later. Now that it is finally on Netflix, here is a list of my favorite episode on each seasonĀ for you to rewatch. If you're new, look forward to them! (Note: Spoilers)
1. Kiss and Tell (Season 1, Episode 7)
This is the one where Rory gets her first kiss from Dean, and her reaction is to say, "thank you" and then accidentally shoplift from Doose's. Lorelai later inadvertently invites him to their movie night, and though Rory is mad at first, they all end up having a great time.Ā
2. The Bracebridge Dinner (Season 2, Episode 10)
Lorelai and Sookie have prepared an elaborate historical dinner for a group at the inn, but they cancel becauseĀ of a blizzard. Since everything is already paid for, Lorelai and Sookie decide to invite their closest friends instead. This episode also includes the snowman building contest āĀ one of those great Stars Hollow traditions.
3. A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving (Season 3, Episode 9)
This is a classic Lorelai and Rory food moment, since they have plans to go to four different Thanksgiving Day meals: Lane's, Luke's, Sookie's, and, of course, Emily and Richard's. It's a great way to see the dynamics of all of their closest friends, and I love any episode where Rory is dating Jess. Bonus: Adam Brody plays Dave, Lane's boyfriend.
4. The Lorelais' First Day at Yale (Season 4, Episode 2)
My mom and I actually watched this episode (inadvertently)Ā the night before I came to UVA, and there were definitely tears. It's the first time Lorelai and Rory are ever separated for a long time; Lorelai isn't even an hour away before Rory texts her to come back. Lorelai helps her settle in and get all set up in her new life.
5. Pulp Friction (Season 5, Episode 17)
This is the episode where Lorelai and Luke get back together and she can finally go back into the diner. I'm a huge fan of Luke and Lorelai, so I love any episode where they're together. Also, things are progressing with Logan for Rory.
6. The Prodigal Daughter Returns (Season 6, Episode 9)
I could not deal with the fact that Rory and Lorelai were fighting, so I love this episode. They make up, and Rory goes back to Yale per some advice from now ex-boyfriend JessĀ and gets her life back on track.
7. Bon Voyage (Season 7, Episode 22)
While it'sĀ hard to accept the fact that the show is over, this episode ends exactly the way you would want it to. Lorelai is with Luke, Rory gets an amazing job opportunity, and she says no to Logan when he asks her to marry him (I am not a Logan fan). Clearly great things are in store for both Gilmore Girls.
