Best Friends Make the World Go Round

What would we do without them?

Best Friends Make the World Go Round

Elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and in the work place, one of the most important things that anyone needs through all of these is a best friend. There are many reasons why everyone needs someone to depend on and a best friend does just that.

1. Comfort

A best friend is someone you don't have to fill in the blanks with. They already know all the your life, you can cut to the chase and get right back to the conversation without a second thought.

2. Avoiding Loneliness

One of our most basic fears is being alone.Whether your best friend is around the corner or in another time zone, just knowing he or she is there provides comfort. So if you find yourself feeling isolated, whether physically or emotionally, pick up the phone and call your closest pal. Both of you will feel better for it.

3. Unconditional Support

You have yet to shower or even brush your hair and your best friend calls. What do you do? You get in the car without even changing because you don't have to. Best friends have seen us at our best and worst, and they love us either way. It's important to have someone in our lives we feel totally at ease with.Someone we can be ourselves with, sweats and all.

4. Honesty

Best friends will also be totally honest with us. They know you well and are able to tell you like it is. So thank your best friend the next time he or she looks at you, shakes their head, and suggests you rethink through this silly decision, trust me it is in your heart's best interest.

5. Loyalty

Loyalty means never having to worry about someone spilling your secrets or talking about you behind your back. Most likely, you've spent years building your bond, which just gets stronger over time. A loyal friend will be on your team no matter what.

7. They're Great for Weddings

Rather it be a Maid of Honor or a Best Man, you instantly think of them when you talk about your future together. A best friend will always be there, but they will especially be there for you through your big day.

6. Another Member of the Family

There is no one like your best friend. They add themselves to your family and are just considered one of the kids. This bond that you have made is much like what siblings share. You might bicker here and there, but no matter what, they will always be your best friend.

Dedicated to Kimmy,

No matter what we go through, there is no one like you that I could possibly replace you with. I am so glad to have you in my life and to call you my best friend. Thanks for everything that you do. Xoxo

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
