I just want to say….

Thank you for everything you’ve endured with me so far. I know I can always count on you to be there for me when times get rough, and I know I can be stubborn at times. I sure as hell know I’m going to be there for you when times get rough.

I feel like I’ve known you for forever. It has only been a few years, and it’s a great feeling. I remember when we first met how awkward it was. Little did we know we’d become instant best friends, room together, and just be inseparable. No one will ever, EVER replace you. You’re my number one best friend.

No matter how hard life gets, or whatever life throws at us, I know we’re always going to be best friends. No matter the distance, and no matter how many guys, you will always be my number one. Nothing will ever change that. Let's not forget, I feel so welcomed at your house and by your family. It’s like I’m one of you guys. I really do feel like I am. Shout out to your parents for bringing a wonderful person into this world.

Words cannot express how proud I am of you. Just with all that you’ve accomplished so far in your short life. I know you’re going to do so much more. I’m so excited to see what you do next and what life has in store for you.

I wouldn’t give up our random conversations in the wee hours of the morning for the world. Just as long as I have you by my side, I’m good. I know everything’s going to be just fine because no one can ever stop us. We literally do almost everything together.

It’s so nice to see how much you broke out of your shell since we both met. I remember how quiet we were and how we wanted to be a part a group of friends. But luckily, we made our own group of friends that I’m happy we’re apart of. I’m so glad that we shied away from the other group. I’m so happy that we decided to room together when we found out about roommate switch week at school. That was probably one of the best decisions we have ever made. Other than going on adventures together.

Speaking of our adventures, I cannot wait to go on more once school starts again, and how much easier it’ll be. I know they’re going to be so much better than our previous ones. We’ll somehow make sure of it. We always do, right?

I know I can always count on you for things. No matter how small or no matter how big. This is what best friends are for. Just know I’m always going to be here for you, too. I’ll make time to make sure you’re okay and to make sure it won’t happen again. I’ll be there to get your ass back in gear when times get rough. Or just be a shoulder to cry on for however long you need it. You’re more than just a best friend, honestly. You’re my sister and nothing will ever change that. I love you, best friend.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
