Dear Best Friend,

We have been dreaming of this day since we were little girls, and now it's finally here. I know that you probably have a million thoughts and emotions running through your mind, but you can rest assured knowing that you found an amazing man that loves you more than anything in the world and you have so many friends and family supporting you on this day.

I remember when we were little we would get all dressed up and play wedding. You were always the bride in that little white dress with the puffy sleeves and itchy sequins and our sisters and I were your bridesmaids. We had so much fun, our little naïve pre-school minds thinking that all there was to a wedding was the dress, walking down the aisle and saying "I do". Through the years, we graduated to swooning over boys and designing the perfect Pinterest wedding. We could spend hours picking out colors and dresses and rings and cute little wedding things. We had no idea how much work it takes, how stressful it actually is to plan a wedding (I don't know how we pulled it off but somehow this wedding will be perfect and absolutely beautiful).

High school rolled around and so did actual relationships with real boys...little did we know that the boy you told me you met that one 4th of July is the same man who is waiting for you at the alter today. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you two. I've never seen you so happy as you are when you talk about marrying him.

My advice for you as you begin your married life? Never stop smiling. Never stop being your stubborn self (I doubt I have to worry about that). Always share your love for potatoes. When you cook, double, triple and quadruple check the recipe to make sure you're not using eight times too much peanut butter and whether you need to use granulated sugar or confectioners sugar. Always make time for movie nights and shopping and spontaneous adventures with yours truly, and know that just because you're gonna be a married woman now doesn't mean I'll ever stop randomly showing up at your house to hang out.

I don't know how I'll react when I see you walk down that aisle on your dad's arm. I might break down in tears or I might just stand there with a big grin on my face, Either way, know that I am so proud of you and can't wait to see the life that you build with your new husband and I am so incredibly honored to be standing by your side on this, the biggest, most important day of your life. I am so blessed to call you my best friend.

I love you more than words can describe.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
