"Deadpool" was released on February 12, 2016, and has already become a huge hit. The beloved merc with the mouth makes quite a habit of breaking the fourth wall, a trait he is well-known for, and while doing so he makes quite a few references to things both in and out of the Marvel universe. Here are just a few of those easter egg moments in "Deadpool."
1. Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern

2. Hugh Jackman's cameo
Deadpool claims he got to do his own movie because of someone whose name "rhymes with pullverine." Jackman is also featured in the film on a magazine as the Sexiest Man Alive and at the end of the movie, and there's no denying that we actually get to see his face on screen.
3. "McAvoy or Stewart?"
As Deadpool gets dragged away by Colossus, Colossus mentions that he must speak to the professor. Deadpool's question is valid — the timelines do get confusing.
4. No one at the X-Mansion except Warhead and Colossus
Deadpool visits the X-Mansion to seek help from the X-Men, notices that it's surprisingly empty and says, "It's almost like the studio couldn't afford another X-Men."
5. Stan Lee's actual cameo
As always, fans should make sure to keep an eye out for Lee.
6. Bob, Agent of Hydra
Though not expressly named as "Bob, Agent of Hydra," Deadpool does reunite with an old friend named Bob in the movie, who happens to be working for the bad guy. Rather than kill him, Deadpool knocks him out and proceeds to drag him off screen, all while asking about how Bob's wife and kids are doing.
7. Action figure of Deadpool from "X-Men Origins"
Ryan Reynolds had made known his wish to make a Deadpool movie after the ... ahem ... poor treatment of the character in "X-Men Origins," Wolverine. It's not surprising that, in one of the sequences of the movie, the audience gets to see a little action figure of "Origins" portrayal of Deadpool. The big bad villain of the movie, Ajax, even threatens Deadpool by saying he'll sew up his mouth, just like "Origins" version.
8. Ferris Bueller's after credits scene
Deadpool, robe and all, nails the impression of this classic scene.
