One my favorite aspects of every film is the character's costumes. One of the best parts of being an actress or actor (other than making a lot of money), is that they get to wear some seriously awesome stuff. I love costumes- I could probably write an entire book on costumes, but for this list I'm highlighting my choices for "Best Dressed Female Characters in Film".
1. Scarlett O'hara, "Gone with the Wind"
Scarlett is an obvious choice for any best-dressed list, she looks fabulous in everything that she wears and she knows it. She may not be the nicest character. but she always looks better than everyone else.
2. Elizabeth Swan, "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise
Keira Knightley always seems to hit the jackpot when it comes to costumes, I probably could have made an entire list with her characters, but Elizabeth Swan definitely takes the cake. She's definitely the hottest pirate king around.
3. Andy Sachs, "The Devil Wears Prada"
Everyone in this movie looks amazing, obviously, since they work at the world's hottest fashion magazine. Most people might have chosen Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly, but Andy definitely steps up her game enough to win this spot.
4. Holly Golightly, "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
Audrey Hepburn is another one of those women who always plays fabulously dressed characters, but the iconic black dress from Breakfast at Tiffany's is enough to give Holly an edge on Eliza Doolittle.
5. Marie Antoinette, "Marie Antoinette"
It should really come as no surprise that she makes the list, as any competent costumer should be able to execute the over-the-top extravagance that is Marie Antoinette. Let them eat cake.
6. Gaby, "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."
She may not be on everyone's style radar, but she definitely deserves to be. Gaby nails the 60's mod style with ease, making her the center of attention in every scene she is in.
7. Baby, "Dirty Dancing"
Baby is not an obvious choice for most lists either, but what I like about her is that she never looks like she's trying to hard, but she always manages to look amazing.
8. Elizabeth Bennett, "Pride and Prejudice"
Okay, so I did add another Keira Knightley character, but I had to. Elizabeth has a very understated style of dressing that somehow manages to grab your attention.
9. Dionne Davenport, "Clueless"
Cher may be the star of the movie, but her style is a bit too predictable to make my list. Dionne on the other hand adds her own personal flair which makes her outfit choices a lot more interesting.
10. Andie Anderson, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"
This one may not show up on anyone else's list either, but I don't care. Kate Hudson looks awesome in everything she wears. She pulls off casual, work, romantic, and formal wear with ease.
