With 10 these easy DIYs, you'll be sure to have the holiday feeling in your home and in your heart:

1. Sweet cinnamon candles

These make the perfect gift for friends and family...get the holiday season scent on your own terms!

2. Paper stars for decoration

Wanna dress up your college apartment or home? These super easy paper stars make for a cute holiday season touch!

3. Mugs!

What's better than a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate during the holidays? These are perfect to watch a movie with or give as a gift-- they're super easy too!

4. Stockings for the family

Sick of the same old stockings? Make your fireplace unique by making your own!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots.
