Gossip Girl provided viewers with a glimpse into "Manhattan's Elite," which really just means unfathomably rich people whose lives are an absolute mess. I mean... does anyone actually live the way these kids do? I feel like thats a question that needs to be answered. However, "GG" also brought us some of the greatest comebacks in history. No one can give a dig like Blair Waldorf can. These are some comebacks as said by the power couple themselves… or as they are commonly referred to, "Chair."
1. When Chuck Bass told Dan how little Dan meant to him. What was Dan thinking?… He is just a lonely boy from Brooklyn, after all.
2. When Blair reminded Serena how hard it was to be Blair Waldorf… blood, sweat, tears and obviously a lot of help from Dorota.
3. When Blair called herself out. At least she owns up to it.
4. When Blair (not just Queen B, but also the Queen of Comebacks) critiqued Georgina's idea of a life choice.
5. When Chuck Bass more or less told Dan that his decisions are always the right ones. Geez Dan, if Chuck gets a haircut its obviously what everyone else should do, too. Get with the program.
6. When Chuck Bass boasted about his indiscretions.
7. When Blair used Chuck's words against him. She hates him… or does she?
8. When Chuck shows up to stop Blair's wedding. Blair obviously picked the wrong prince. Louis may have been the Prince of Monaco, but Chuck ruled over the Upper East Side.
9. When Blair asserts why her way is the best way.
10. When Blair told Chuck exactly what she thinks about his friend.
11. And last but not least… the line. Its the thing that won girls hearts everywhere, was repeated by Ed in many interviews, and ultimately showed everyone who was boss. Except Chuck Bass is the only person who can use it.
Chuck and Blair may just beat out Gossip Girl with their insults. These lines were not just entertaining but also extremely witty. Maybe thats part of the reason these two stayed at the top of the game. They didn't just manipulate the game, they manipulated the players. Watch what you say to them, because they always have something to say back.
