To those of you who know me, you know that my twin brother is my best friend in the entire world. Don't get me wrong, I love my little brother and my older sister, but having a twin is something you can't even explain. Here's why having a twin brother is so special to me:

He's always ready to beat up any guy who breaks your heart.

Although it may get embarrassing and annoying how protective our brothers can be, they always have our backs. One thing a brother cannot handle seeing is another guy take advantage of his sister. If any guy messes with your heart, they sure as hell are going to be ready to knock them out (not literally).

You get all of his hand me down sweatpants and sweatshirts.

All of us ladies know that getting oversized hoodies and sweatpants is the best thing yet. Most of us wish it was a boyfriend giving us their hoodies, but brothers will do the trick too. As the years go on and they grow more, you can bet that your closet is going to be overflowing with his old clothes.

You have twice the amount of friends.

Having your friends over at the same time he is? Might as well throw a party. It's always nice getting the second invite everywhere just because you're his other half.

Being around guys is like a second nature.

Having a twin brother and always being around his friends made me a lot less nervous to be myself around guys in general. It allows you to be extremely comfortable around them and be considered "one of the guys." It's always nice to have a group of guy friends that are like a brother to you too.

He gives the best advice.

Although girls mature a lot quicker than most guys do, brothers always know the right thing to say and only want what's best for you. They're helpful when it comes to boy drama because they are guys too, and they tell you the truth, no matter how badly it hurts.

I could go on forever about the benefits of having a twin brother, but those are just a select few of my favorites!
