Recently, I had discovered a few articles on the web with all of the same type of topics. These topics referred to the limiting of one person or group to be able to speak their ideals freely. This had mainly occurred on college campuses across the nation and involved particularly political or religious groups that had members in the near 50s range. The problem that was being reported on was that people from these groups were indeed trying to freely express their own ideals to others with the thought that they can do this because it is their own natural right. Indeed, it is our natural right to be able to speak freely here in the US but how have so many voices been shunned or silenced as a result of private institutions and companies preventing people from the free speech initiative.

The answer to this question is that with the free speech clause in the Constitution it is legal for any private institution to impose its own limitations regarding free speech and this would also mean workplaces and schools not funded by the government. People who may speak openly in these public places may often find themselves asking why they are being ordered to stop or to leave and this is mainly due to laws that these institutions place on their grounds. So people do in turn feel as if they are betrayed and are confused as to why they are being treated this way.

Should this still be allowed and is our freedom of speech right less important than an institution's initiative? Many argue that this is still unfair the freedom of speech clause should extend to everything including private institutions. Our freedom of speech is limited in some ways and this has stirred much controversy over the years in regards to lawsuits and political groups. The freedom of speech has allowed many people to speak for themselves and provide power in themselves to be able to speak about their ideals but it always seems to be cut short and stretched to the point where it makes the people feel they can't speak what they want to speak.

This controversy has been in existence since the existence of the United States. It has shown people that we may have a very lenient system in terms of freedom of speech but their have been some loopholes in history that provide context into the statement that the freedom of speech of United States citizens is still being limited. The freedom of speech clause was instituted on the grounds that the government could not limit the freedom of speech of its citizens and thus called for its citizens to speak their minds which would have a big impact on society.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
