Becoming A Belieber At The Ripe Age Of 19

Maybe it's just my sophomore slump.

Becoming A Belieber At The Ripe Age Of 19

Hi, I'm Rachel, and I have become a fan of Justin Bieber at the embarrassing age of 19 years. If you haven't heard about it yet, Justin Bieber released his new album, "Purpose," on November 13, 2015. And I have been forever changed by our dearest J. Biebs. Now, I will not be joining the screaming pre-teens losing themselves over him. Instead, I will be the young woman standing far behind the crying girls tastefully enjoying the music of my latest favorite Canadian.

Just look at him.

It's just not fair. Not only is his music laced with perfectly angsty messages to ex-girlfriends, but it's just so good! I hate to admit it, but this 13-track album (19-track deluxe edition also available!) is fan-freakin-tastic.

On top of all of that, this little Canadian who has matured quite well and decided to release "PURPOSE: The Movement" -- a playlist of 13 music videos that features tons of bad-ass dancers. Check it out here, and you won't miss out on the pure glory of these girls working it.

I thought I knew what squad goals were before, but I was mistaken. Check out my revised, ultimate squad goals:

I recommend these few favorites of mine:

1. "Love Yourself" - written by Ed Sheeran, so it has to be good!

2. "I'll Show You"

3. "Where Are U Now"

The other 10 videos feature dancing children, a beautifully lyrical contemporary routine, and Parris Goebel among many other fantastic dancers and choreography. Just watch it all instead of watching yet another cheesy rom-com that you will ultimately regret watching as you sulk in single-girl self-loathing. Watch these videos and get inspired to dance, no matter how uncoordinated you are! Justin just wants you to have a good time!

If you asked me two months ago if I would ever be a fan of Justin Bieber, I would laugh in your face and go back to listening to my alternative Indie music. But look at me now, I'm a Belieber. This newest version of J. Biebs is one that anyone can fall for. Just watch him and Jimmy Fallon execute this adorably elaborate handshake.

Justin Bieber is a new man having discovered his new sense of purpose. He is the leader and poster child of a campaign that motivates every single one of us to find our purpose. I know that sounds lame, but it's actual pretty great what Justin Bieber and his public relations team are doing.

Dear Mr. Bieber,

You have won over my 19-year-old heart, so keep up the good work. Now, I hope you enjoy this gif of a koala.

Good job.

Sincerely,

Your Newest Fan, who might be a little old to be your fan but is now coming to terms with her newfound guilty pleasure.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
