To my wonderful niece(s) and nephew,

I did not know the feeling of being a aunt could be so spectacular. There are so many perks of being an aunt. You get a lovable, little bundle of (mostly) laughter to cuddle and play with. You get to watch your nieces and nephews grow up into their own person with their own unique personality. Watching you gives me so much joy and you warm my heart.

I am so lucky to have each of you in my life, and being your aunt brings me so much happiness. You are all growing up so quickly and I just want to keep you all little forever. As your aunt I promise you I will be there for you with open arms, but mostly I promise to love you no matter what. When you get older I hope you never see me as just another grownup who doesn’t understand you. I hope you feel like you can come to me with anything and know that I will never judge you. When you feel like no one understands you or will listen to you, please know I will always be here for you.

Even when I’m far away I promise you thatI think of you and your sweet smile all the time. I know I am not around as much and the times we see each other become shorter and shorter but it doesn’t mean that I don’t love you any less and that you aren’t a big part of my life. I can’t promise you the world, and I can’t promise life won’t be tough at times, but I do promise to stand by your side through it all and be whatever you need me to be.

I have the greatest family in the world. Siblings, parents, cousins, nephews, and nieces.. they remind me that family really is everything. Without family, we really have nothing in this world. Whether you are blood related or not, family is still family. Shout out to my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband for giving me the best nieces and nephew in the world. And hey, if they grow up to be anything like their aunt, they'll be pretty awesome!
