Summer breaks are very elusive. If you do not learn how to utilize it, it will slip away unnoticed. Therefore, you must learn to manage your break like a pro.
The 10 mantras for a successful break are as follow:
1. Wake up early:
It is bright and beautiful in the early morning. Wake up early and make full use of the day.
2. Stay hydrated:
Drink plenty of water early in the morning. It makes you feel fresh and active throughout the day. There are also many infused water drinks that you could try if you don’t like to drink plain water.
3. Read Books:
You could all the books that were on your reading list. Having a reading list for summer will make you productive and relevant when you make conversation with your friends after the break.
4. Enjoy outdoors:
You endured a nasty winter to experience this blessed summer. Nature reveals herself fully during this time. Therefore, go to new places and appreciate her beauty. It could be just a lake next to your home.
5. Try to learn something new:
Do internships. Try to learn something, even if its something small. Be happy that you don't have to pass any exams.
For those, you who do not have any internships, be creative and do some fun projects.
6. Exercise:
Utilize the extra daylight by exercising. Make sure you fit into all your clothes from last summer.
7. Plant a flower or do some gardening:
Breath some fresh air of relief seeing the plant that you brought to life. You will feel joyous.
8. Enjoy barbeque and beer:
Enjoy beers and Barbeque after a tiresome lawn work in the summer heat. Summer is the right time to decide wheater you like ale, lager, stout or malts.
It might also be your weapon against that hidden kidney stone or the bacteria that triggers acne. However, it is only possible if you drink in moderation.
9. Watch Netflix:
You can binge-watch all your favorite shows from Gotham to Agents of SHIELD without feeling guilty. Make sure to watch shows in the evening so that it won't affect your other tasks.
10. Sleep enough:
Never forget to get good quality sleep and prepare yourself for a busy school year schedule.
