Coming home from college can be a weird adjustment for all of us. In second semester, we only have a limited time home during our spring and Easter breaks, and it is up to us how we decide we want to spend them (some people being more productive than others).
1. First thought: Food
Sorry, but the dining hall food just does not cut it over a home-cooked meal.
2. Trying to catch up with family members:
Of course, we missed them and want to hear how they have been, but right now my first priority is to find good food.
3. Re-claiming your spot on the couch:
Let's be real here, we all have that one spot.
4. Maybe having a little bit too much time on your hands...
I mean it's fine, though because we just finished midterms. Right? Right...?
5. Any work that needs to be done? It can wait.
Isn't that what the bus ride back to school is for?
6. But then having your professor e-mail you about an assignment you forgot about...
Yes, that assignment is due the day you get back. But that can be a problem when I get back to school the night before class.
7. When your mom expects you to pick up chores again:
She sees you on the couch, and you know you're done. The old "I have too much homework" excuse you used in high school doesn't fly anymore.
8. Realizing you have more time alone than you are used to:
Why isn't anyone randomly barging into my room? Where are my friends? What is going on?
9. Finally seeing your friends from home:
None of you realized how much you missed each other until you are finally back together.
10. Coming to the realization that you actually did nothing productive with your time off.
Sleep and Netflix count as productivity in my eyes.
