The holidays are such a happy time for everyone. You can catch up with friends and family while participating in all sorts of fun traditions, and of course indulging in all the delicious holiday foods and treats. I always wish I wasn't stuck away at school during part of the holiday season. My family is very unpredictable is always celebrating in new ways! That is why I feel so homesick when I'm not there to do every new little thing during the holiday times.

My family is super close with all of our neighbors and everyone is always celebrating the holidays together. I have so many great memories of baking Christmas cookies with my mom and other friends and family. I also have so many fond memories of putting up decorations. Every year, everyone in our neighborhood competes to have the best outdoor lights and decorations so there is always a lot at stakes. And at the end of busy days filled with festivities, gathering around the fireplace and catching up with everyone is one of the things I look forward to every year.

What I miss the most comes down to the feelings that I have when celebrating for the holidays. The comfort, company, and togetherness the holidays provides for me, makes me miss being home for every second of the holiday season. I feel so stress free which is a huge change from when I am at school. It is truly a time for me to enjoy myself and live in the moment. I don't get to go home very frequently during the semester so when I finally get to go home for the holidays, I am so joyous and look forward to all the great memories that I will make. I wish I could fast forward through finals week to be home with all my loved ones already but it will soon be the time to celebrate!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
