Many we are faced with situations that force us to interact with other human beings, and if you're like me, you understand the pain associated with being more awkward than awkward. Everyday tasks scare the crap out of you because you don't know how to go about them.
Talking on the phone is a big NOPE.
Not to mention speaking up when the waiter got your order wrong.
When you see other people using the pool or hot tub, you run away and hope they leave or that you can scare them off from afar.
Even if you need help in a store, when asked, you'd rather struggle all on your own. In fact, you basically avoid them altogether.
Stuttering through ordering a meal.
Introducing yourself is a nightmare.
When your parents try to get you to meet one of their friends.
And you always envy the people who can do it all with ease.
Making it through the day is a struggle, and although you're not entirely awkward and have a decent set of social skills when faced with the most basic of struggles, they may render you useless.
