How to get your beauty on.

Beauty Hacks

1. Eyebrows

Most people asked me how I get my eyebrows to perfection. My secret is that I get my eyebrows threaded instead of getting them waxed. When I was younger I had something called a "waxccident," when my full eyebrow was pulled off. I had to do the EMO hairstyle to hide missing eyebrow. Now most people think getting your eyebrows threaded hurts like hell, but to me it feels just as painful as getting them waxed. If you're the type that likes to fill in your eyebrows, the true secret is to always use a powder or an eyebrow pencil that is a shade lighter than your own eyebrow color. If you use a shade too dark you'll get what's called the Groucho Marx effect, which is big black eyebrows, and if you don't know who Groucho Marx is, look him up.

2. Getting your highlight and contour on point.

I will have to admit that I own two or three contour pallets and they are a life saver. Now most people don't really understand the concept of contouring. For example, you can use a bronzing powder to contour your face, but never use a bronzer that has shimmer in it. Around your forehead is fine, but never use shimmer bronzer as your cheek contour because it won't add depth to your face, and at the end of the day it looks like a glittery mess. The whole point of highlighting and contouring your face is to create depth to the face and and accent the natural highlights of your face. Now it's perfectly fine for your highlight to have shimmer. Unless you have really oily skin then you can get an oil slick look on your face after a couple of hours of wear. And last, but to me it's mostly the for rule of highlighting and contouring, is to blend your contouring highlight out. I physically get so mad when people do not blend out their contour and highlight. Sweet baby Jesus I could lose it. The only time it's semi acceptable is when you're taking a picture, but in real life you look like a deer. So blend your contour out and make the world a better place.

3. Everything you need to know about under your eyes.

First thing, if you have puffy eyes and are afraid of wrinkles don't use cucumbers. You can use the most ugliest tuber in the world and guess what it is--potatoes. Yes potatoes can work wonders for your under eye area. Do the same thing you would do with the cucumber, cut the potato slices and you put it over your eyes and within 15 to 20 minutes your puffiness will be gone and the area under there will be toned and tightened. To help with darkness under the eyes use Castor oil four times a week under your eyes. I put little bit of Castor oil under my eyes before I go to bed.

4. How to keep your eyelashes perfectly curled.

Step one is curling her eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Step two is the most important part and that is to put on waterproof mascara; just one coat will get the job done. Step three is to put on your favorite mascara (waterproof or just regular mascara), and your eyelashes will be perfectly curled all day.

5. How to keep your makeup from creasing.

If you have the problem of your concealer creasing around your eyes or around your mouth I have the perfect solution for you. Less is more when it comes to concealer, the less you put around your eyes the less it will crease. Also set your concealer with a loose powder right after application and that will help stop the concealer from creasing. The same thing goes for the area around your mouth, usually called your parentheses. And for the love of Mary, if you use liquid foundation just go ahead and set it with the loose powder afterwards and your whole face will be on fleek.

6. Do you honey.

To be honest makeup is what you make it. Makeup can do so many things for you, but just remember to have fun. There aren't any real rules for makeup, just guidelines. Makeup can't change your ugly attitude, if you have one, and trust me I know some of you girls and boys can calm down with the b*tchy attitude. Like Cinderella said, "Be kind, and have courage."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
