Disney released their first preview of the highly anticipated live-action “Beauty and the Beast.” If you haven’t seen it, here’s the first trailer:
The magic of Disney gives you goosebumps throughout this sneak peek from the classic music to the transformation of the setting. There are close similarities between the original 1991 Disney animated trailer and the new live action.
We only get a short snippet of Emma Watson as Belle towards the last few seconds of the trailer that leave us begging for more.
The live-action “Beauty and the Beast” comes after many Disney live-action successes including Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland”, “Maleficient”, “Cinderella”, and the most recent “The Jungle Book”.
“Downton Abbey”’s Dan Stevens will play Beast alongside Watson’s Belle.
“Beauty and the Beast”‘s star-filled cast includes Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, and Audra McDonald as Garderobe.
The only unfortunate part about this trailer is the lengthy distance of its release date. So close yet so far. “Beauty and the Beast” will be released March 17, 2017.
