Bastille Concert

A review of the Bastille at Bradley University

On Tuesday of this week, I had the awesome opportunity to see Bastille in concert at the Renaissance Colosseum on Bradley University's campus. I bought the ticket last minute at the really great price of $20 because of my student discount, and I am so glad that I did! The doors opened at 7 and because I had a ticket in the pit section (standing section in front of the stage) I wanted to get there early to make sure I got a good spot. I ended up being only two rows from the barricade in front of the stage so I was really excited about that! I got a great view of the entire concert. I had such a great time and that is why I wanted to make sure that I wrote a review of the concert.

A band called Mondo Cozmo opened for Bastille. I will be honest and say that I had never heard of them before but, I thought they were really good. They played for a half hour and I instantly looked up some of the songs their songs because I really did like them! If you haven't heard any of Mondo Cozmo's music, look them up because they are great! But, the show really started when Bastille came on around 9:00. Dan Smith, the leader singer of Bastille has an incredible voice! He sounds the same live as he does on the radio. He also has some awesome dance moves and so does the rest of the band (haha). Bastille puts on a great show and they are so much fun to watch because you can tell that they are giving their all and that they love what they do. Also, during one of their songs, Dan Smith came into the audience and walked through the crowd of people in the pit. I always think it's cool when a band or someone in a band does that. It really adds to the experience and just makes it more fun to be there! For being a concert at a college campus, Bastille made it feel like you were seeing them in a big auditorium or something. They had really cool background videos playing while they sang and a lot of light action. All of these elements combined just made the concert so much fun! Everyone in the pit was dancing and when it was over, I know that everyone was sad to see it end!

I can honestly say that I am so glad that I went to this concert! I would totally see Bastille again because I love their music and they are guaranteed to put on a great show! I love that Bradley University puts on concerts for their students because it has really added to my college experience. So, if you are thinking of seeing Bastille in concert, GO! It is totally worth it and I can promise that you will have a great time! Below are some of the pictures that I took at the concert! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the pictures!

For those of you that don't know, I am a radio DJ at IUP, and I DJ for a show called BPM (Beats Per Minute). It is an EDM, or electronic dance music, based show and I absolutely love it.

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"
