My favorite movies to watch during the holiday season are Home Alone and Home Alone 2. For those of you who haven't seen either of the movies yet the basic premise of the movie is that Kevin (played by Macaulay Culkin) is left home alone after his parents forget to wake him up to go on vacation for Christmas. In the first movie, he's just left at home while his family is in Paris. In the second movie, he gets on the wrong plane and ends up in New York while his family is in Florida. In both of these movies there are two burglars named Harry and Marv (played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern respectively). They try to break into the house and terrorize Kevin while he's home alone. But Kevin has a plan.

Kevin decides after his first encounter with the two burglars that he's going to set up all kinds of booby traps around his house. This results in many injuries which we as the audience laugh at. The results are not pretty however and most of them question how Harry and Marv are still alive.
