The news continues to be the biggest joke for informing people on major events.

Reliable news that informs people on the the major events of every day is a rather difficult commodity to come by anymore. Instead of hearing about how America's food waste epidemic is getting out of hand, how segregating schools is having a major impact on a child's learning development, and that our health system is flawed in every general aspect. We without even asking get news about information that is not even the slightest bit informative. In some cases it's not just unimportant, it is also false with no real support or actual proof of it being legitimate. So why do news stations give us garbage that in no way has any significant value?

Well for starters, the news is by no means a peaceful boat to sail. Many news stations have to abide by what is peaking our interests. Now this may not apply to everybody but nonetheless what we view as "interesting" or "thought provoking" is what the workers at the news station are willing to report. This mainly comes off them trying to appeal to viewers so they may have higher ratings. Whether it be about celebrities, a new trend or funny video nothing is out of reach for reporters to use as news. While, this is doing there station a promotional opportunity of being up to date on all the new fads and trends. The impact in doing so only hinders the viewer of being told actual news that is presently necessary to know. Even then however some details pertaining to what is happening now...isn't actually true.

Now, I cannot be sure what the reasoning would be to give details to a certain case or crisis that are not factual true. Maybe it was a mistake? People need to know something, right? Could it be they are being controlled from an outside source? What if it is just an attempt to boost ratings and get everyone looking at this new development they have just uncovered? I will let you speculate as to why this occurrence seemingly happens too often. In the mean time though viewers see and hear the news because they believe it to be the best way to get the truth. In high sight, this is not the case and the news stations at times fail to truly examine this norm for viewers. They hold a massive amount of responsibility of being precise and diligent with there work. Instead though, they childishly mislead their viewers of what is true and important in a irresponsible fashion.

It can be somewhat tragic to see how little people actually know about what is happening around them. There is much more going on than just a celebrity wearing the latest fashion. People are researching, traveling, testing, developing, and writing all over the world so that we may bask in a better tomorrow and have answers to mysteries that we could have never even thought of the answer to before. While, these wonderful people do get their opportunity to be recognized pushed away, there are still a variety of quality news preferences to go by you just to have to find them. Take a chance and find something of actual importance that is worthy of being news. My personal favorite is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver:

He gives a perfect melding of important news and humor that I instantly become hooked and wish to learn more. The possibilities are endless of what you can find that sparks your interests and gives you knowledge to the world around you. We all deserve to know what is happening. My hope is that news stations may one day go back to providing actual important events for us to be more knowledgeable & coherent.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
