In just a couple weeks, it'll be time for us college kids to pack up all our cheap dorm accessories, a case of Ramen noodles, and those notebooks that weigh more than we do and head up to school for another year.
Whether you go to school one hour away or across the country, this time of year brings out the same thoughts, feelings, and emotions for all of us, and the best way to express that is through Michael Scott and the Scranton branch of Dunder-Mifflin.
"Wait, where did the summer go? I feel like I just got out of my last Spring semester exam."
"I guess this means it's time to pay for tuition again. Wow, check out that cute little tuition hike. And what is a Special Institution fee, anyhow?"
"And I should probably buy my textbooks."
"After all that, I guess I'm starting the semester completely broke."
"I don't need help moving in! I'm an adult. I'll carry all these boxes myself. Wait..I think I packed too much."
"I'm so excited to meet my new roommates! I hope they like me. We're going to cook dinner together every night and take lots of cute pictures together."
"Wait, one of them is weird."
"I'm glad to see all my friends again, but I'm really going to miss my mom."
"All of my roommates and I have different schedules and I think I'm going to be here alone a lot. I wonder if I can keep a cat here without my RA noticing."
"Why did I bring a car? There are too many people walking here."
"I guess I should walk my class schedule before 8 A.M. on Monday. I feel like I know my way around campus, but it doesn't hurt to check. Oh wait...these classes are ten minutes and like a half mile apart."
"I don't think I remember anything I ever learned, ever."
"I don't see anyone I know in this class...maybe I can make friends with that cute kid over there."
"Maybe we'll get married."
"Gosh, this professor sure asks a lot of questions."
"Maybe I should make up a fake name so it doesn't hurt my grade if he calls on me and I don't know the answer. I'm sure there's someone in this town who can help me out."
"I forgot how tough going to class is. Walking is hard. Taking notes is hard. Staying awake is hard."
"But this is for my own good. I'm investing in my future."
"And it's a beautiful day."
"And this is such a beautiful school with so many fun things to do."
"Even though I miss summer and my mom and the fact that I'm not ready to live with random people again, I'm so happy to be here. It's going to be a great semester."
