With many events coming up on your social calendar this semester, you always want to have to perfect look.
Here is a girl-to-girl’s guide of to this year's makeup trends.
For classic, everyday makeup, you can stick to the natural look. Your usual foundation, bronzer, blush and mascara will work just fine. If you want to spruce it up a bit, you can always add a thin liquid black eyeliner to the top of your eyelid and wing it out. Or you can add a dark red, orange, pink or purple lipstick. The eyeliner and the lipstick make the look a little more edgy. Lets call it the "Natural Flair." These looks will work for class, the gym, getting lunch with the girls or going to the library. Also understand that your look must reflect with what you are wearing. Do not wear a dark smokey eye with sweats. You can change your outfit to match your makeup or change your makeup to match your outfit. If you are a person who usually doesn't wear a lot of makeup, this look will work for all occasions. Do what makes you feel comfortable, and most importantly, drop-dead gorgeous.
For a daytime event, eye shadow is a must. You want your eyes to pop. Light colors such as white, beige, light browns, pinks or purples can add to your look. You can either add a thin liner or not, depending on the event or your outfit. When using a light eye shadow it is always best to use a dark lip. This is important to make one of your features stand out more then the rest.
For the club or party scene everyone wants to be noticed. The smokey eye is always the way to go. Start with a light color in the corner of the eye and get darker as you work your way out. You can use any color or hue depending on your outfit or mood. And there is such thing as too much blue. When doing a smokey eye always use liner with a wing; it finishes the look off. A light pink or nude lip is always best with dark eyes, but a little red never hurt anybody. Depending on the event, false eyelashes may be important. They open up your eyes and make you look sexy when you bat them at that hottie across the room. Who doesn’t love to look sexy?
