The best part about going back to school are the school supplies. If Office Depot, Staples and Office Max are some of your favorite places, then this list is for you. I could spend hours in those stores just looking for the cutest thumb tacks. Needless to say, school supplies seriously make me so excited that school is back in session.

1. Memo Elephant

I’m elephant-obsessed so it’s almost natural that this made the list. This cute dry erase memo elephant is perfect for leaving yourself cute to-do notes! I would probably write something more important than “brunch with Sara!”, but to each his own. It comes with a marker and it’s easy to wipe the note off and start over, plus elephants are good luck!

2. Trendy Pencil Pouch

I love this pencil case, I just think it looks so neat and clean. The ETC. is a perfect touch and it’s big enough to carry all of your supplies but small enough to not take up too much room.

3. USB Keychain

Never be stressed that your phone might die again. Hang this cute keychain from your backpack and always have a USB charging cord for your phone! All you need is to plug it into your computer and you’re good to go!

4. Highlighter Set

I’m so into cute highlighter set! Although the colors might be a bit confusing, they are so cool and fun! Perfect for highlighting the entire textbook even when your teacher tells you not to… (insert upside down emoji).

5. Message Board

The great thing about this message board + magnets set is that you can also include cute pictures as well as notes! Besides a place to keep to-do lists, there is also a spot to keep your pencils and writing utensils! Definitely a cute desk accessory!

6. Hot Stuff Mug

This mug makes you remember who’s in charge! I love this mug for late night studying when you’re in desperate need for a caffeine fix! It serves as both motivation and a quick pick-me-up!

7. Assorted Pen Set

These pens are the definition of good vibes. They have cute sayings to remind you to chill out and not to stress over lots of work! They also are fun-colored and would look super cute in any pencil case!

8. Girl Crush Agenda

I am straight up obsessed with this planner. Each page has funny comments and great reminders. All of the holidays are marked, including national cookie day--Ban.Do knows what’s important! It’s also not spiral-binded so it doesn’t curl pages or cause them to bend. There are exciting stickers inside and helps keep you organized while still being trendy!

9. I Am Very Busy Mug

The mug says it all! There’s no better way to remind people to stop talking and to just read the mug. Clearly my coffee isn’t done, and so I am most definitely not interested in having small talk with you.

10. Desk Organizer

I love this desk organizer! It’s super clean and would make any desk look organized and complete. It’s great for holding papers, pens and paperclips! This is a necessity for any organized student.

11. Assorted Permanent Markers

There is nothing better than small felt tip markers. Whether you’re completing class projects, writing flashcards or finishing notes from class, these markers are perfect! They will help with color coating and will make everything look amazing!

12. Hugs And Kisses Notebook

This small notebook is everything. It’s small enough to just jot down some notes and not weigh your backpack down. The design is super cute also, this notebook is absolutely on my wish list!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
