This month, it seems like everyone is getting ready to go back to school. Three months away from CU, and I can't stop thinking about getting back to Boulder. Here are some things to look forward to this month in Boulder, Colorado:
1. Getting outside.
Something about the great outdoors never gets old. Everyone who left the state is going to miss adventure-filled activities like tubing down the Boulder Creek, hiking, biking and climbing.
2.The views.
Seeing the Flatirons in person after any period of time away is breathtaking. After being at sea level, I am ready to look down at campus from the mountains.
3. The Buff Pool
Use it as much as possible before it closes for winter.
4. Moving in.
Even though I am not moving in for the first time, there's nothing quite like getting settled in new homes, apartments, spaces, or dorms. By putting decorations up, It makes things feel personal and real.
5. Getting a fresh start on a new semester.
As much as I do not miss exams and assignments, things like new classes, professors, and getting deeper into my major are exciting. Plus, a clean slate is motivation enough to hit the books after summer break.
6. Football games!
We may not be the best, but I still love seeing the Buffs (and Ralphie) in action on Folsom Field.
7. Concerts and events.
Especially Welcomefest!
8. Seeing old friends.
Catching up with my friends about summer adventures is going to be a reunion for the books!
See you soon, Colorado!
