If you're anything like me, you might have indulged yourself in really bad reality TV this summer. But, how can you not? Pretty people, beaches, and everything you wish you were part of happening in your living room right before your eyes.
Once my girl JoJo Fletcher came into the picture on "the most dramatic season yet" of "The Bachelorette", my dreams of summer adventures slowly disappeared as the necessity to be in front of the TV on Monday nights at 7:55pm became my priority. Don't get me wrong, I do not regret anything about the hours spent watching Jordan Rogers and his tiny hands.
But then
"Bachelor in Paradise", and if you love to hate "The Bachelor"/"The Bachelorette" franchise then let me be the first to tell you that watching this show is how you need to end your summer. The girls of this season (so far) make this show worth watching:
1. Emily and Haley - the girls that seemed like absolute ditz' on Ben Higgins season of The Bachelor, are actually my favorite part of the show. Plus, they did exactly what I would do on a date if I had a twin - they switched halfway through. How can you not love them?
2. Carly Waddell - Carly wasn't a favorite when she was on "The Bachelor", but I feel like she may have been made for "Bachelor in Paradise" for her commentary alone. She voices what we are all thinking, and she is hilarious at doing so.
3. Amanda Stanton - Sweet little Amanda with the beautiful little girls who made Ben Higgi cry, was so into Nick Viall until Josh Murray showed up and suddenly Nick is thrown back into 2014. Didn't expect this from sweet Amanda, but I respect her adding to the drama.
4. Lace Morris - The New Lace, is what she calls herself. We have her to thank for getting Chad off the show, I guess she can stick around for a couple more weeks.
5. Izzy Goodkind - This Izzy does not fit the "blonde hair - surgical intern - loves Alex Karev" Izzy we all know and love, but she's not awful. She's into Vinny, and I don't hate Vinny.
6. Sarah Herron - Sean Lowe says she's a sweetheart and I have yet to see it. We all need someone to dislike, and for me, its her this season.
There are a couple of other ones that have floated in and out that are on the show, but they don't make it quite as exciting. The fun part about BIP is that more people come each week! Grab your wine and your favorite friends, let "Bachelor in Paradise" steal you away from reality Mondays AND Tuesdays.
