Ayesha Curry has been touring nonstop for the last two weeks promoting the release of her first cookbook.
She was at the Grove Barnes & Noble this past Wednesday signing books and taking pictures with her fans.
So far she has gotten positive reviews about her book, which aims to cater to ordinary individuals that want to make simple yet delicious meals for their family.
Personally I am ecstatic for Ayesha's success. Although I found out about this newfound blogger and cook through her husband, Steph Curry, Ayesha has since then built her own platform and presence. Despite the fact that she has received backlash for many of her opinions in the past year, Ayesha continually shows that she is simply following her own dreams, while being a loving mother and supporter of her husband.
Recently a twitter comment was directed toward Ayesha stating,
"*Yawn* Inspiring women to...be the best wives/cooks they can be eh? Or make a profit of their 'husband's' success? Is this the most that you can achieve with your fame? How about inspiring women of ethnic minorities to pursue higher education/get degrees? Or build their empires/become entrepreneurs independently of the men they are married with? Use your fame wisely. Women around the world should strive to be more than just 'great' mothers/cooks...Tailor your marketing and partnerships to inspire the next generation of doctors, lawyers, professors, public leaders, etc."
Clearly this person was having a horrid day and decided to take it out by tweeting this woman.
Either way, Ayesha's success is inspiring. Clearly her passion and outlet is cooking and I am glad she has chosen to pursue her dreams of devising a cookbook.
I hope to see more of her success in the future.
