10 years from now will any of this matter? As a matter, a fact, in one year will any of this matter?
Will what matter? you may ask.
My answer is, anything you could think of.
I'm sure some of you have already at least thought of one thing that you're questioning whether or not it will matter later on down the road. Ex-girlfriend/boyfriend, that shitty part time job you have just to get by in times of struggle, the argument you had in traffic over being cut off by some jerk or on a more serious note, your past personal problems in life. Maybe you struggle with drug or alcohol problems or domestic issues.
These topics are always on a person's mind, especially if it is affecting their life in a negative way.
A person may be happy in the moment, then out of nowhere they reminisce on one of these negative things after being triggered by someone drinking, someone being beat up, witnessing a bad break-up or watching some asshole on 76 cut off a car a few ahead of you.
They see these things happening and it brings them back to when they were in that situation previously in life. But I'm telling you in the simplest of ways, let it go.
Yes that ex-boyfriend/girlfriend may have been a great person to you at one time, but they changed. They became someone you did not want to be with, so why sit there and think about them or now-a-day "creep" on them on social media. Let them do them and throw out their negativity they brought you.
In another case, let go of that bottle, put down that joint, distant yourself from those junkies you used to call friends. They are not worth it. Your present life and safety are more important, and your future is much more important.
Ad on a lighter topic, that city boy on 76 who does not know how to do under 80 mph weaving in and out of traffic, let go of that anger you have for him, because 5 miles down the road he's got a flat tire, and he doesn't know how to put his spare on. Just laugh and wave as you drive by and turn up that radio and "fugetaboutit cuz". ( had to throw a little south Philly touch in there)
My friends, my family, my peers and all you strangers I added in 8th grade to get more friends, I am telling you to let go of the past.
