Procrastination

Time being the reason.

Procrastination

It was found that over 20 percent of people struggle with the urge to procrastinate. Piers Steel, PhD, claims that 80-95 percent of college students struggle with this, do you? The word procrastinate means "to delay or stall something intentionally without regard of deadlines." The reason college students specifically are guilty of this is because they struggle with time management. It is difficult for students to make time to do their projects, essays, or labs for all of their classes and still find time to relax or have fun.

Therefore, it is easy for students to choose to procrastinate instead of completing their work for all of their classes. However, if people, especially college students, can get on a time schedule of when to work and when to "play," they would be better off because they would not procrastinate as much and would not have to rush through their work or school work to make a quickly approaching deadline. People should always try their best to make fixed schedules according to their specific needs, due to fast coming deadlines.

But, the fact of the matter is, very few people have the time to even make themselves schedules. So, people's procrastination will most likely continue.

However, people who make the time to create a schedule find that it is much easier for themselves to choose not to procrastinate.

People choose many different types of things as their form procrastination, but whatever way you are guilty of, it is a great possibility that it is easy to avoid. The most common among teens and young adults is the use of social media. This is due to easy access through cell phones, tablets, or laptops. It is really easy for someone to just pick up their phone and click on a social media app instead of doing anything else. Therefore, an easy way to resist the urge to procrastinate on something you need to do is to sit your phone down for a minute, or shut it off while you're doing your work. Every person is different, so maybe you're not using social media, maybe you are binge watching a TV show. Just remember that you can always watch it later, even if you have to watch it on your phone or tablet. It is more important for you to get what you need to do done, especially if you are a student who wants a successful future. Maybe, you have a problems telling your friends you can't hang out, well tell them you have to do your work, it's a great possibility they do too. If you are a student, you would probably gain yourself a study buddy.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
